Save on Prescriptions with Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you spend more that you like on prescription drugs?   If so, you may want to look into Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.   For just  $10 a year***, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Individuals may join for $5***.

Did you see that about pets?

Now that caught my eye since I have a geriatric hound dog.   Glucosamine makes him much more comfortable; but those tablets are expensive.  I checked further and the club includes discounted pricing on common medications often prescribed to pets, such as Amoxicillin (antibiotic), Humuliný (insulin), Hydrocortisone (skin conditions), Omeprazole (digestive), etc. In order to qualify for the discount, you must have a valid prescription for your pet and the medication must be one that has a human equivalent. Your veterinarian will tell you if your pet's prescription can be filled at a retail pharmacy.

My next call will be to my veterinarian to see this can save us some money.

For you non-four-legged family members, benefits include savings on more that 8000 brand-name and generic medicine, discounts on flu shots and bonus on when you purchase Walgreens products and photofinising.

In a time when things are so expensive, it's nice to get a tip on a way to save money. If you want to keep up to date on the savings you can like  Walgreens on Facebook or Walgreens on Twitter.

I will come back and let you know how the pet prescription works out.

I think extra help for pets is such a great idea. Pets are like family members & man can they be expensive!
